Ken Hesley, who was Uriah Heep's keyboardist, died surrounded by his family this week, his brother confirmed.

It was probably a heart attack that caused the musician's death. The keyboardist was a member of the progressive rock band Uriah Heep from 1970 to 1980.
The musician's brother has confirmed that Ken Hesley died peacefully with his family at his side and that a private funeral will be held for him in Spain. "His beautiful wife Monica was at his side and comforted Ken in his last minutes with us" - wrote the man - "We are all devastated by this tragic and incredibly unexpected loss and we ask you, please, to give us a little 'of space and time to understand what happened ”.

The well-known keyboard player was born in London on August 24, 1945, his full name was Kenneth William David Hensley. He joined guitarist Mick Box and singer David Byron in the band when he was called Spice in 1970. Ken wrote or co-wrote most of Uriah Heep's songs until he left the band in 1980. Among the songs who signed are Easy Livin ', Stealin', Lady In Black and Free Me.
